Overview

PrivyApiStudio ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. PrivyApiStudio is a local-first application. We believe that developer tools should be private by default. Our core design principle is that your data belongs to you and should remain on your device.

1. User Data Collection

PrivyApiStudio does NOT collect, harvest, or transmit any personal or sensitive user data.

Specifically, the application does not collect:

• Personal identifiers (name, email, account details)
• Your API project request history or credentials
• Environment variables or security authorization tokens
• Usage metrics, behavior tracking, or telemetry
• Crash reports or diagnostics

2. User Data Handling

All API debugging, parsing, validation, and AI features are processed locally on your machine or directed by your actions:

• API Request Execution: When you send a request using the application, the network request is initiated directly from your client machine to your specified target API endpoints.
• AI Assistants (Local Ollama): If you configure a local AI provider, no data leaves your machine.
• AI Assistants (Remote Providers - Optional): If you explicitly configure a remote AI provider (like OpenAI), only the prompts you select and send, along with the required API context, are sent to that provider. This data handling is subject to that provider's privacy policy.

3. User Data Storage

All workspace files, project details, and request logs are stored locally on your device:

• Local Storage: Stored locally within the application sandbox (IndexedDB, local storage, or project files).
• Credentials & Variables: API keys, Swagger specifications, and env variables remain on your machine in sandboxed storage.

You can delete this data at any time by clearing the workspace inside the application, manually deleting settings files, or uninstalling the app.

4. User Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or disclose your data to anyone. No telemetry or tracking SDKs are integrated into the application, and we maintain no remote databases where your data could be uploaded.
